Aruba's MOVE architecture provides context-aware networking for the post-PC era. Mobility network services are delivered centrally from the data center across thin network access devices or on-ramps.
At the heart of Aruba MOVE, a single set of mobility network services manages security, policy and network performance for every user and device on the network, regardless of location or how they connect. This mobility- and user-centric approach makes it possible to re-architect the access network to simultaneously provide workforce mobility and reduce costs.
To connect users into the network, whether at work, home, or on the road, Aruba access on-ramps include wireless, wired, and VPN products. Device configuration, security policies, and reporting are all done centrally in the data center effectively making installation a zero-touch experience.
Mobility Controllers:
Aruba Mobility Controllers create a single, unified network that manages wired and wireless access across indoor, outdoor and remote locations.
Aware of all network devices, users, applications and locations, Mobility Controllers also maintain configurations and automate software updates for other Aruba controllers, Mobility Access Switches and access points (APs).

Headquarters and Campus APs:
Aruba high-performance 802.11 access points (APs) for corporate headquarters and campus wireless LANs (WLANs) provide Wi-Fi client access across a wide range of indoor and outdoor environments.
Aruba's 802.11n AP family includes single- and dual-radio options to meet the most challenging client performance and density requirements, and support additional capabilities to ensure secure and reliable wireless connectivity.
- Adaptive Radio Management (ARM) technology optimizes Wi-Fi client behavior and automatically ensures that Aruba APs stay clear of interference, resulting in a more reliable, higher performance WLAN.
- Integrated wireless security identifies and mitigates against wireless intrusions and rogue devices
- Integrated spectrum analysis identifies sources of RF interference.
- Secure mesh provides point-to-point or point-to-multipoint connectivity where wired connectivity is not available.
- Remote AP enables secure network access to corporate resources in remote locations.

Remote Access Points:
Aruba Remote Access Points (RAPs) provide secure always-on network access to corporate enterprise resources from remote locations.
Ideal for users in small branch offices and teleworkers in home offices, Aruba RAPs support wired and wireless connectivity, traffic forwarding traffic based on policy, user-centric security, and backup links over cellular networks.
Using zero-touch provisioning, low-cost RAPs are easy to set up and require no IT assistance to install. Corporate resources are extended to RAPs using site-to-site VPN tunnels from an Aruba Mobility Controller in the central data center.
RAP Features
- Zero-touch provisioning with no IT assistance.
- Provides wired and wireless access.
- Extends corporate resource anywhere in the world.
- Secure connectivity that meets government and retail compliance.
- Reduces cost and contributes to network rightsizing.

Instant Access Points:
Aruba Instant™ virtualizes Aruba Mobility Controller capabilities on 802.11n access points (AP), creating a feature-rich enterprise-grade wireless LAN (WLAN) that delivers the affordability and simplicity of an entry-level Wi-Fi network.
Offering impressive scalability, Aruba Instant can be installed at a single site or deployed across multiple geographically-dispersed locations. A group of up to 16 Aruba Instant APs can be managed by a single AP designated as a Virtual Controller. If the designated Virtual Controller fails, another Aruba Instant AP automatically takes on that role with no disruption.
The IAP-134 and IAP-135 maximize mobile device performance in extremely high-density Wi-Fi client environments and comes with IEEE 802.1AE MACsec security, while the IAP-105 brings affordability to high-density Wi-Fi areas. The single-radio IAP-92 and IAP-93 are designed to improved mobile device performance in low-density Wi-Fi client environments.

Mobility Access Switches:
The Aruba Networks™ S3500 Mobility Access Switch is a new class of product that brings user role-based access to wired networks. The S3500 is an integral part of the Aruba Mobile Virtual Enterprise (MOVE) architecture, which delivers secure virtualized access services to users, independent of their location, access method, device or application. Designed for network access deployments in building wiring closets, the S3500 is available in four models with 24 or 48 10/100/1000BASE-T ports and an optional uplink module. Power-over- Ethernet (PoE) models are available supporting up to 30 watts per port based on the IEEE 802.3af (PoE) and 82.3at (PoE+) standards. The S3500 provides connectivity to wired Ethernet devices such as virtual desktops, IP phones, videophones, classroom peripherals, medical devices, point-of-sale devices and security cameras as well as any 802.11n wireless access point (AP).
Installed in the wiring closet, the S3500 delivers wire-speed Gigabit Ethernet switching and operates as a high-performance wired access point when deployed with an Aruba Mobility Controller.
As a wired access point, users and their devices are authenticated and assigned a unique role by the Mobility Controller. These roles are consistently applied whether the user is a Wi-Fi client, or connects to a port on the S3500. This eliminates the need to manage and provision separate wireless and wired access policies.
The result is an enterprise workforce that has consistent, secure access to network resources based on who they are – no matter where they are, what device they’re using or how they connect.
