COLLEGE STATION, TX - September 25, 2018 - Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, today announced that Texas A&M University students will compete in the Aggies Invent eventSeptember 28-30 using Aruba’s Wi-Fi and location services solutions.
Aggies Invent is the University’s engineering event where students engage in hands-on project design to challenge their innovation and problem solving skills. The theme for the event is “Smart Campus Experiment” and participants will be asked to design a mobile application to provide a relevant and engaging indoor experience enhanced with location awareness. Participants will use Aruba Meridian and Aruba’s Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Beacon technology for the contest and will be given 48 hours to design, develop and present prototypes to judges for evaluation. Cash prizes will be given to the top three winners. This Aggies Invent will be the first to be hosted in the Texas A&M’s new Zachry Engineering Education Complex, a 525,000 square foot center equipped with Aruba wired, wireless, security and location services solutions.
