Overview:

The HPE Networking 720H Series Hospitality Access Points offer a cost-effective solution to address the demand for fast, secure, high performance connectivity in hospitality and small branch/office work environments. Leveraging the Wi-Fi 7 standard, these access points help meet the increasing demands of bandwidth-hungry video, growing numbers of client and IoT devices, and cloud services growth.

The 720H series includes our first-ever dual platform AP supporting both HPE Aruba Networking Central and HPE Mist on the same hardware, enabling enterprises to upgrade to Wi-Fi 7 with confidence while leveraging the AI-powered management and self-driving network capabilities of HPE Networking.

The flexible compact form factor of the 720H series includes multi-gigabit and gigabit ports, PoE support, and integrated Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Zigbee, providing a range of connectivity options ideal for venues such as hotels, residence halls, and remote offices.

Three 2x2 MIMO radios provide comprehensive triband coverage across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz for up to 9 Gbps maximum aggregate data rate.

HPE Networking 720H Series Hospitality Access Points are fully Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ to meet all requirements for greater efficiency including OFDMA, MUMIMO, and target wake time (TWT), reducing power demands and lowering the energy footprint to align with sustainability initiatives.

ClientMatch technology removes sticky client issues by steering a client to the AP where it receives the best radio signal, and Air Slice provides service level agreement-grade performance for latency-sensitive, high-bandwidth, and IoT services.

Multiple wired ports provide low latency, high performance connectivity for a variety of in-room or on-site, internet-enabled devices.

Simplified Access with Enhanced Security

The HPE Networking 720H Series Hospitality Access Points offer enhanced security with dynamic segmentation to reduce the time-consuming and error-prone task of managing complex and static VLANs, ACLs, and subnets by dynamically assigning policies and keeping traffic secure and separated.

The 720H series improves network protection with WPA3 and Enhanced Open (OWE) for stronger encryption, authentication, and secure credentials for guest access.

To simplify policy enforcement, the 720H series uses the policy enforcement firewall (PEF) to encapsulate all traffic from the AP to the gateway (or mobility controller) for end-to-end encryption and inspection.

For enhanced device assurance, the 720H series includes an installed TPM for secure storage of credentials, keys, and boot code.

Enhanced IoT Support

HPE Networking 720H Series Hospitality Access Points include an integrated Bluetooth 5 and 802.15.4 radio for Zigbee support to simplify deploying and managing IoT-based location services, asset tracking services, security solutions, and IoT sensors.

Target wake time (TWT) establishes a schedule for when clients need to communicate with an access point to help improve client power savings and reduce airtime contention with other clients.

Advanced IoT coexistence (AIC) feature uses built-in filtering to allow Wi-Fi and BLE/Zigbee radios to operate at maximum capacity without the impact of interference.

Intelligent power monitoring (IPM) continuously monitors and reports AP energy usage. This feature can be configured to enable or disable capabilities based on available PoE power.

Dual PoE out support allows the AP to directly power IoT devices, mitigating the need for additional power outlets or extra cabling.
